When I got an email from Roxanne and Vincent asking if I’d be their wedding photographer I happy feet danced my way around the house… Rox and I practically forged an (honourable) path through varsity and had so much fun together! Once varsity was over and I moved to PE we stayed in contact through Facebook but I have never forgotten those lazy days outside the dayhouse, catching some sun rays (and avoiding class).
I look at Rox after all these years and she is exactly the same, as genuine and down to earth as ever. But with an added glow and a smile that spreads across her face every time Vince is around. Their happiness is just infectious :)
Their wedding was an amazing DIY vintage affair at the beautiful Buitengeluk (which I never even knew existed). But all the planning in the world could not prevent the hail and rain that came down around 15 minutes after the ceremony. When I say it rained, it. rained. So hard the ducks abandoned the pond and took to the paths. The rain eventually faded but I can assure you those smiles did not leave their faces. What an honour to have been able to share this day with them, something I will treasure for a very long time to come :)
